The MCR series are new low impedance tantalum chip capacitors available from UCC/NCC. These
ꢀ
capacitors have a standard 20% tolerance and are available in the D case size. The MCR series
capacitors are specifically designed for use as filters at high frequencies and are ideal for small power
supplies due to their low impedance.

Soldering Guidelines

Pre-heat tantalum chip capacitors. Do not exceed 150ꢃC for more than 5 minutes. The recommended soldering temperature
profiles for the capacitors are shown below. Be sure to stay within the allowable range to avoid capacitor damage.
