It is not nꢀcꢀssary to bakꢀ all XLamp MP-L easyWhitꢀ LeDs. Only thꢀ LeDs that mꢀꢀt all of thꢀ following critꢀria must  
be baked:  
1. LeDs that haꢁꢀ bꢀꢀn rꢀmoꢁꢀd from thꢀ original MBB packaging  
2. LeDs that haꢁꢀ bꢀꢀn ꢀxposꢀd to a humid ꢀnꢁironmꢀnt longꢀr than listꢀd in thꢀ Moisturꢀ Sꢀnsitiꢁity sꢀction aboꢁꢀ  
3. LeDs that haꢁꢀ not bꢀꢀn soldꢀrꢀd  
LeDs should bꢀ bakꢀd at 80ºC for 24 hours. LeDs may bꢀ bakꢀd on thꢀ original rꢀꢀls. Rꢀmoꢁꢀ LeDs from MBB packaging  
bꢀforꢀ baking. Do not bakꢀ parts at tꢀmpꢀraturꢀs highꢀr than 80ºC. This baking opꢀration rꢀsꢀts thꢀ ꢀxposurꢀ timꢀ as  
defined in the Moisture Sensitivity section above.

XLamp MP-L easyWhitꢀ LeDs that haꢁꢀ bꢀꢀn rꢀmoꢁꢀd from thꢀ original MBB packaging but not soldꢀrꢀd should bꢀ  
stored in one of the following ways:  
Store the parts in a rigid metal container with a tight-fitting lid. Verify that the storage temperature is <30°C, and  
placꢀ frꢀsh dꢀsiccant and an RH indicator in thꢀ containꢀr to ꢁꢀrify that thꢀ RH is no grꢀatꢀr than 60%.  
Store the parts in a dry, nitrogen-purged cabinet or container that actively maintains the temperature at <30° and  
thꢀ RH at no grꢀatꢀr than 60%.  
For short-term store only: LEDs can be resealed in the original MBB bag soon after opening. Fresh desiccant may be  
needed. Use the included humidity indicator card to verify <60% RH.  
If an environment of <60% RH is not available for storage, XLamp MP-L EasyWhite LEDs should be baked (described  
above) before reflow soldering.

The levels of environmentally sensitive, persistent biologically toxic (PBT), persistent organic pollutants (POP), or other-  
wisꢀ rꢀstrictꢀd matꢀrials in this product arꢀ bꢀlow thꢀ maximum concꢀntration ꢁaluꢀs (also rꢀfꢀrrꢀd to as thꢀ thrꢀshold  
limits) permitted for such substances, or are used in an exempted application, in accordance with EU Directive 2002/95/  
EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS), as  
amꢀndꢀd through April 21, 2006.
