2000 Series ABS Plastic Boxes
including Lugged Lid, EMI/RFI Coated
Profile Clear Lid Versions
LUG LID
The 2000 range of multi-purpose boxes are
manufactured in ABS plastic. They are available
in a wide range of sizes, can be readily drilled
and withstand temperatures up to 85˚C.
STANDARD LID VERSION
Standard colours are grey, black and white, with orange and
blue available to special order and other colours subject to
normal commercial quantity criteria. All 2000 boxes except
2007/17 incorporate slots on all four sides for vertically
supporting 1.5mm PCB’s.

All even part numbers in grey are flame retardant UL 94
VO and all sizes in brilliant white are flame retardant UL 94
VO. All sizes except 2009-2030 available with clear lids.
BOARD ADAPTORS enable boards and subassemblies to
be flat mounted and are supplied with each appropriate box.
2000 boxes have a close fitting flanged lid secured to the
base by screws running into integral bosses (2000/10,
2007/17 and 2008/18 – selftappers) enabling them to be
readily hermatically sealed simply by using mastic between lid
and base.

For wall mounting or where secure fixing is required, three
sizes are available with the lugged lid style. All 2000 series
sizes in all styles are available with EMI/RFI shielding, please
see the EMI/RFI specification sheet for further information.

2000 Series with EMI/RFI Shielding
CLEAR AND DEEP PROFILE LID VERSION
The SAN deep profile clear lid version is
ideal for applications where viewing of but
not necessarily access to internal components
or controls is essential

The 2000/20 close fitting flanged lids are securely held onto
the base by 3mm fixing screws running into integral brass
bushes thereby providing an enclosure, which is highly
resistant to moisture ingress.
By the simple application of an appropriate sealant these
boxes can become fully hermetically sealed.
