The ISD4003 ChipCorder Products provide high-  
qua lity, 3-volt, single -c hip Re c ord/Pla yba c k solu-  
tions for 4- to 8-minute me ssa ging a pplic a tions  
whic h a re ide a l for c e llula r phone s a nd othe r por-  
ta ble produc ts. The CMOS-ba se d de vic e s inc lude  
a n on-c hip osc illa tor, a ntia lia sing filte r, sm oothing  
filte r, AutoMute ™ fe a ture , a udio a m plifie r, a nd  
high de nsity, m ultile ve l Fla sh stora ge a rra y. The  
ISD4003 se rie s is de signe d to be use d in a mic ro-  
proc essor- or mic rocontroller-ba sed system. Ad-  
dre ss a nd c ontrol a re a c c om plishe d through a  
Se ria l Pe riphe ra l Inte rfa c e (SPI) or Mic rowire Se ria l  
Inte rfa c e to minim ize pin c ount.  
Re c ordings a re store d in on-c hip nonvola tile  
m e m ory c e lls, providing ze ro-powe r m e ssa ge  
stora ge . This unique , single -c hip solution is m a de  
possible through ISD’s pa tented multileve l stora ge
