Cables

Ethernet Cable

Grayhill Part No. WL-CETH-6

This cable allows ethernet connection to the radio. This

cable can be plugged directly into the EZCom-IP

ethernet connector. The standard cable comes in a 6-

foot length. Other lengths available upon request.

DC Power Cable

Grayhill Part No. WL-CPWR-6

The DC power cable provides flying leads to be

terminated on a terminal block when using existing

power supplies. This cable can be plugged directly into

the EZCom-IP power supply port.

Low Loss RF Extender Cable

Grayhill Part No. WL-CAEX-__ __-__ __ __

The RF extender cables provide a way to connect an

externally mounted antenna to the EZCom-IP radio.

The RF extender cables are made with LMR-400

flexible communications cable. The LMR-400 cable is

made of a weather proof UV protected black

polyethylene jacket, which makes the cable rugged and

resistant to a full range of outdoor environments. LMR-

400 has the lowest loss of any RG-8 cable and exhibits

excellent shielding.

A bulkhead mount broadband coaxial protector for

general radio use. It uses frequencies up to 2.4-2.5GHz

with multi-strike capability.

Radio Antennas

The following antennas have been certified and approved by Grayhill for use with the EZCom-IP

radio:

Whip Antenna

Grayhill Part No. WL-ANT-24UA

These versatile, portable antennas can be used outdoors for

remote telemetry or indoors within LAN [local area network]

applications. It has a mechanical hinge to allow adjustment

from 0 to 90º. The whip antenna connects directly to the

EZCom-IP radio RF connector and provides unity gain in an

omnidirectional pattern.

Installation

The WL-ANT-24UA is intended to be attached directly to the EZCom-IP antenna port. The

mechanical hinge allows the antenna to be installed from a straight position to a 90° position. During

installation, orient the antenna so that it stands vertically (90° from level ground), thereby providing

an omnidirectional pattern.

This 2.4 GHz mobile antenna can be used outdoors for

remote telemetry or indoors as part of a local area network. It

is great for use on vehicles.

Panel Antenna

The 15-dBi directional panel antenna is designed for

maximum horizontal beamwidth in a small profile package. It

can be mounted in a wide variety of locations.

Yagi Directional Antenna

Grayhill Part No. WL-ANT-24Y13

The 13-dBd Yagi directional antenna is ideal for point-to-point

transmit and receive applications that require high gain. It

includes mounting brackets for remote mounting from the

radio and requires a low loss coaxial cable assembly to

connect to the EZCom-IP radio.

Directional antennas cover relatively long, narrow patterns in

one direction. By placing one at one end of your coverage

area, you may communicate over very long distances.

Directional antennas are ideal for bridging the gap between

buildings, to extend coverage to any oddly-shaped area, or in

any situation point-to-point communications are required,

such as along a long corridor.

When using a 9dBd gain Yagi antenna (Grayhill part no. WL-ANT-Y9A) a minimum of a 100 feet, the extender cable is required (Grayhill part no. WL-

CAEX-MR-100) in order to meet FCC regulations.

Omnidirectional Antenna

The 8-dBd Omnidirectional antenna is ideal for

base stations. It includes mounting brackets for

remote mounting from the radio and requires a

low loss coaxial cable assembly to connect to the

EZCom-IP radio.

NOTE:

Lightening Protection: When top mounting an antenna, proper grounding procedures to the tower

must be observed. You MUST provide a direct DC earth ground to both the antenna and tower. This

can and will minimize lightning strikes from damaging equipment. Always consult your local and

national codes for grounding requirements.
