500mA Low Dropout Linear Regulator
n FEATURES
n DESCRIPTION
The SS6735 is a 3-pin low-dropout linear
regulator. The superior characteristics of the
SS6735 include zero base-current loss,
very low dropout voltage, and 2% accuracy for
the output voltage. Typical ground current
l Low dropout voltage of 650mV at 500mA
output current (3V output version).
l Guaranteed 500mA output current.
l Low ground current of 65mA.
l Output voltage accuracy of 2% at 1.8V/2.0V/
remains approximately 65mA, from no load to
maximum loading conditions. Dropout voltage
at 100mA output current is exceptionally low.
Output current limiting and thermal limiting are
built in to provide maximum protection for the
SS6735 against fault conditions.
2.5V/2.7V/3.0V/3.3V/3.5V/3.7V/3.8V/5.0V/5.2V.
l Needs only 4.7mF for stability.
l Protection with current and thermal limiting.
n APPLICATIONS
l Voltage Regulator for CD-ROM Drivers.
l Voltage Regulator for LAN Cards.
l Voltage Regulator for Microprocessor.
l Voltage Regulator for RAM Module.
l Wireless Communication Systems.
