Product Overview
System Sensor’s SpectrAlert wall-mount horn/strobe product is an outdoor listed
strobe that operates on 120VAC. The horn/strobe is watertight when used in con-
junction with the weatherproof back box (WBB).
UL listed to UL 1638 (strobe) and UL 464
(horn) outdoor requirements

Operates at 120VAC
Performance. The SpectrAlert Outdoor Horn/Strobe operates on 120VAC and is
UL listed for outdoor use. The horn/strobe is watertight per UL50 when used in
conjunction with the weatherproof back box accessory.

Installation. SpectrAlert products offer installation ease which also lowers the
installed cost. Each SpectrAlert horn/strobe includes a universal mounting plate
for 4″ square and single gang back box mounting. An accessory weatherproof
back box (WBB) is available.

–40°F to 150°F
Flexibility. SpectrAlert products offer the flexibility to meet a broad range of
requirements. The SpectrAlert Outdoor Horn/Strobe features field-selectable
horn tones, with temporal 3 or continuous patterns for each.
Universal mounting plate included
Aesthetics. To meet building owner aesthetic requirements, SpectrAlert
incorporates a stylish, low profile design, an aesthetic that is consistent across
all SpectrAlert products.

Outdoor Horn/Strobe shall be a System Sensor SpectrAlert
Model _________ listed to UL 464 for fire protective sig-
naling systems and UL50 for watertight standards (NEMA
3R), and shall perform in accordance with the standards
set forth by UL 1638 for private mode emergency and gen-
eral utility signaling. The horn/strobe shall have two field-
selectable tone options and the option to switch between
a temporal 3 or continuous pattern for each tone. These
options are activated through the appropriate settings on
a DIP switch located on the rear of the unit. In order to
obtain the NEMA 3R rating, the SpectrAlert Outdoor
Horn/Strobe shall be attached to a universal mounting
plate that is mounted onto a WBB weatherproof back box.
SpectrAlert Outdoor Horn/Strobes shall have an operat-
ing temperature range of –40 degrees to 150 degrees F
and operate on 120VAC.
