Operating Temperature: - 40°C to + 85°C.  
Lead Pull: 5 pounds (2.3 kilograms) for 1 minute.  
No physical damage.  
Capacitance Range: 0.001µF to 0.39µF.  
Capacitance Tolerance: ± 20%, ± 10%.  
Voltage Rating: 2000 WVDC to 10,000 WVDC.  
Dissipation Factor: 1.0% maximum.  
Lead Bend: After three complete consecutive bends,  
no damage.  
Marking: Sprague® trademark, type or part number,  
capacitance and voltage.  
Life Validation Test: Rated voltage for 2000 hours @ + 40°C.  
No visible damage. No open or short circuits.  
Maximum CAP ± 10%.  
Voltage Test: 120% of rated voltage for 5 minutes  
through a limiting resistor of 50,000 ohms minimum.  
Insulation Resistance:  
At + 25°C: 25,000 Megohm - Microfarads or 50,000  
Megohm minimum.  
At + 85°C: 2500 Megohm - Microfarads or 5000  
Megohm minimum.

HIGH VOLTAGE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  
Type 430P High Voltage capacitors have high insulation resistance. They will retain a significant charge for several days unless  
an external discharge path is provided.  
High voltage safety precautions must always be observed.  
Good engineering design practice requires that equipment should always be designed to prevent accidental contact with  
energized capacitors to avoid possible serious shock.  
Additionally, discharged units may retain a residual charge as a result of dielectric absorption. This characteristic may produce  
an apparent recharging phenomenon even though no voltage is applied.  
Care must be taken to assure capacitors are properly discharged.  
If voltage has been applied to these capacitors, a wire or other short circuit should be fixed between the capacitor terminals for  
a period of at least 3 hours prior to subsequent handling.
