The LXA /LX series capacitors are computer grade capacitors designed for a very long lifetime. These
ꢁ
capacitors have a rated lifetime of 5,000 hours at 105ꢀC with the rated ripple current applied. The
LXA /LX series capacitors also have a very high CV value and high ripple current ratings making them
ideal for use in power supplies.

Load Life
The insulation resistance of the sleeve will measure no less than100 megohms with a 500VDC
potential between the mounting clamp and the sleeve. The mounting clamp shall be secured around
the sleeve of the capacitor body, and the terminals shall be shorted together.
The insulating sleeve will withstand a voltage of 2,000VAC without electrical breakdown when the
voltage is applied between the mounting clamp and the sleeve. The mounting clamp shall be secured
around the sleeve of the capacitor body, and the terminals shall be shorted together.

The following specifications shall be satisfied when the capacitors are restored to 20ꢀC after subjecting
ꢁ
them to the DC rated voltage for 5,000 hours at 105ꢀC with the rated ripple current applied. The sum of
DC voltage and peak AC voltage must not exceed the full rated voltage of the capacitors.
