DESꢁRꢂPTꢂꢀn
The SLVU2.8-8G is an ultra low capacitance TVS array, designed to protect four line pairs from the effects of Electro-
staꢀc Discharge (ESD), Electrical Fast Transients (EFT) and switching transients. The SLVU2.8-8G exceeds Level 4 IEC
61000-4-2, with a peak pulse power raꢀng of 500 Waꢁs for an 8/20µs waveshape.
The ultra low capacitance and low leakage current of the device allows the designer to protect high speed data ap-
plicaꢀons. Packaged in a SO-8 configuraꢀon, the SLVU2.8-8G is both RoHS and REACH compliant.

The SLVU2.8-8G provides four line pairs in a differenꢀal mode configuraꢀon. Circuit connecꢀvity is as follows:
• Line Pair 1 connected to Pins 1 & 2
• Line Pair 2 connected to Pins 3 & 4
• Line Pair 3 connected to Pins 5 & 6
• Line Pair 4 connected to Pins 7 & 8
ꢁꢂRꢁUꢂT BꢀARD REꢁꢀMMEnDATꢂꢀnS
Circuit board layout is criꢀcal for electromagneꢀc compaꢀbility protecꢀon. The following guidelines are recommended:
• The protecꢀon device should be placed near the input terminals or connectors, the device will divert the transient current
immediately before it can be coupled into the nearby traces.
• The path length between the TVS device and the protected line should be minimized.
• All conducꢀve loops including power and ground loops should be minimized.
• The transient current return path to ground should be kept as short as possible to reduce parasiꢀc inductance.
• Ground planes should be used whenever possible. For mulꢀlayer PCBs, use ground vias.
